MSHS NCC SEA UNIFORM GUIDE
( With effect from 28 March 2013)

No.3 Uniform
To standardize on uniform procedures with regards to the No.3 Uniform, the No.3 uniform is henceforth to be worn in the following manner:
An overview of how the badges should be arranged
1. Only black NCC issued pants with gold buckle belt are allowed.
2. Name tag is to be pinned directly above the middle of the right breast pocket. (With reference to Photo 1)
3. All ranks are to be sewn 3 fingers below the epaulette. (With reference to Photo 2)
4. Epaulette is to be pulled all the way down. (With reference to Photo 3)
5. Circle badges are to be pinned right above the name tag in one straight line. (With reference to Photo 4)
6. Total Defence Badge is to be pinned on the right breast pocket. (With reference to Photo 5)
7. Kayaking badge is to be pinned on the left breast pocket. (With reference to Photo 6)
8. NAPFA shield badge is to the place in the gap of the rank and all shield badges are to be worn above the left breast pocket once there is at least 2 shield badges. (With reference to Photo 7 and Photo 8)
9. Skill badges (eg: Sea Proficiency badge, Annual Kayaking Badge) are to be pinned above the shield badges. (With reference to Photo 8)
10.  Marksmanship badges are to be pinned right above the rank. (With reference to Photo 9)
11. Oversea Adventure badges are to be pinned above the circle badges.
11. Shoelaces are to be tied in this manner. (With reference to Photo 10)
12. Uniform is to be ironed and clean white without any stains or tears.
13. All loose threads are to be cut from the uniform.
14. Shoe is be shined at all times.
15. Beret is to be tucked into left pocket with crest facing towards the pants from ranks Recruit (REC) to Corporal (CPL) and tucked into top left epaulette with crest facing downwards for all specialists.

 No.4 Uniform
To standardize on uniform procedures with regards to the No.4 Uniform, the No.4 uniform is henceforth to be worn in the following manner:

1. Epaulette is to be pulled down all the way
2. School Tab is to be sewn 1 finger below the Epaulette. (With reference to Photo 11)
3. Rank is be sewn 3 fingers below the Epaulette
4.Smart 4: 

  • Smart 4 is to be folded up till 4 fingers below the epaulette for ranks Recruit (REC) (With reference to Photo 12)
  •  Smart 4 is to be folded up till covering half the rank for ranks Lance Corporal (LCP) to Master Sergeant (MSG) (With reference to Photo 13)

5.  Cloth badges (eg: RSN-NCC cookie, BDC cloth badge) are to be sewn in the following manner

  • For only 1 cloth badge: Cloth badge is to be sewn 3 fingers above the right breast pocket (With reference to Photo 14)
  • For 2 cloth badges: Cloth Badges are to be sewn right above the right breast pocket (With reference to Photo 15)

 6. Shoelaces are to be tied in a caterpillar knot (With reference to Photo 16)
