Additional date for proficiency test absentees.

This is a important notice to all part A,B,C cadets who missed the sea proficiency last week.

There would be another test for the absentees on the 15th of November 2007. Those who have already taken the proficiency test are prohibited from going.

The reporting time would be at 8.30am at KSTC. Lunch would be provided between 1200 and 1300.

This is compulsory for those absence for the original test on 2nd november as it contributes a high weightage to the BUC.

2 Star Kayaking Course – Latest Update

All Part B cadets please take note that the 2 star kayaking course is now been rescheduled to the following dates.
Day 1 - 17th Nov (Sat)
Day 2 - 24th Nov (Sat)
Day 3 - 25th Nov (Sun)
instead of the original 11th, 18th and 25th Nov as mentioned to you this morning.
All part B cadets who could make it for the revised dates are to hand in the application form and make payment for the course on coming Tuesday 23rd Oct to Sir Teng.
Course Fees
1). 2 Star course w/o water venture membership ($65)
2). 2 Star course plus application of 3 years water venture membership ($88)
3). 2 Star course with valid water venture membership ($50)
Payment shall be made by cash or cheque. Student who wish to pay by cheque are to inform their parents to cross the cheque and made payable to “People’s Association Water- Venture”.
In view of the change in date for the course, all Part B cadets are to assemble at the study area at 1200 on 23rd Oct to meet Sir Teng for a short briefing.

This is an important notice to ALL part A, B, C cadets going for the army open house. Here are the NEW details.

30/8/2007

Excused from class: 11.40am

Fall in at 11.45am at the front porch

There will be transport back to school from SAFTI Military institute.
The dismissal will be at about 6pm in school.

Attire: No. 4 uniform with beret.
Cadets will leave their bags in the log room and take only their valuables with them.

This event is compulsory for all cadets that are not in the sea com or bends and hitches team.
AWOL cases will be dealt with severely.

NEW DETAILS for 28 Aug Training

Sea Training:
All Sea competitors are required to go for this sea training.
Request to leave your class at 1140h (new)

REPORTING / DEPARTURE TIME

1. All course participants will report for in-processing by 0730 hours at NCC Campus, lower parade square (LOGISTICS BRANCH). Directional signs will be posted to lead them to the reporting point. The course is expected to end on 19 JUN approximately at 1800H.

2. All course participants must report in their No. 4 uniform with beret.

3. All male cadets are reminded to spot a neat haircut, failing which they will not be permitted to join the course. Female cadets are to bring along their black hairnets.

4. Late-comers without valid excuse/letters will not be entertained after 0900H on the day of in-processing. Day-off will not be granted to any course participant except on emergency and compassionate cases.

5. Course participants and Teacher Officers would be housed at block 245 and 246 throughout the course.

Items to bring

1. Course participants should bring the following essential items when they are reporting for the course:
a. 1 X No. 3 uniform (with badges)
b. 1 X No. 4 uniform (with badges)
c. 1 X set of toiletries
d. 2 X PT Shirt and shorts
e. 1 X PT shoes
f. 1 X pair of slippers
g. 1 X set of writing materials
h. 1 X student pass (for personal drawing of rifle)
i. 1 X pair of tights (female)

k. 2 X recent passport-size photographs

n. Prescribed Personal Medication (all asthmatic cadets are reminded to bring their inhaler)

2. Cadet Trainees are reminded not to bring valuables into campus. HQ NCC will not be liable for any loss or theft. Cadet Trainees are discouraged from bringing any foodstuff for their own consumption.

AKE(pt c)

The 4 days 3 nights Annual Kayaking Expedition will span from Sembawang Sea Training Centre, Seletar Island, Punggol Jetty, Coney Island, Pasir Ris Beach, Changi Point, Changi Sea Training Centre and East Coast Beach (Amber Beacon).

The cadets will stay in Sembawang Camp for the first night and for the subsequent two nights; they will be staying in Changi Sea Training Centre.

All AKE participants will report for in-processing by 11th JUN 07, 1500 hours at Sembawang Yacht Club (SSTC). Directional signs will be posted to lead them to the reporting point. The expedition is expected to end on 14 JUN approximately at 1800H.

1. All AKE participants must report in their PT kit (wet attire) with covered shoes/booties. No slippers or sandals are allowed as they will be booking into Sembawang Camp for accommodation.

2. Late-comers without valid excuse/letters will not be entertained after 1600H on the day of in-processing.

3. AKE participants and Teacher Officers would be housed at Sembawang Camp (11th June) and Changi Sea Training Centre (12th June and 13th June) for accommodation and stay over.

TRANSPORT

4. There will NO TRANSPORT provided for the Annual Kayaking expedition. For all units, please make your own arrangements with regard to transport of your cadets. A Teacher-Officer must accompany cadets if they are arriving or departing by chartered bus.

Change of Command Parade

Dear Part B and Part C cadets:

I understand that this is very last minute but i have no choice but to use this method to convey this message to all of you.

I was at the change of command parade rehearsal at NCC(HQ) today and was shocked and embarassed to see that there were only 2 Marist Part B cadets in the supporting contingent. As a whole, the Sea unit supporting contingent strength was the smallest of all the districts.

Commander Sea, CPT Oliver had written to all Sea units to request for support for tomorrow's final rehearsal and actual parade.

If you are able to make it for the rehearsal tomorrow from 0800hr and stay till the final parade which will end around 1900hr, please report at HQ(NCC) in Number 3 and beret at 0800hr. Lunch and dinner will be provided for the parade contingent.

I understand most of you may have already have prior commitment but if you really can spare your time tomorrow, I strongly encouraged you to take up this challenge to be involved in the parade. It might be of little impact to you but trust me, it means a lot to the SEA unit and MSHS Sea unit if we have a substantial turnout for the parade tomorrow.

Hope to see many of you tomorrow @0800hr at HQ(NCC).

Let's live up to the challenge, dear Barracudas !!!
